This blog is in liu of lost Reading Room

Most of you are aware that I have lost my blog Reading Room to Malware. I have tried to get help from google/blogger but no one is responding at the help forum. Hope I get it back but I am not very sure about that. Meanwhile, I have started this new blog, slowly retrieving data from google reader.

First, I will retrieve the book reviews as well short stories. Then I will see about getting around other posts. Worst is, I can't retrieve any of your comments.

Please help spread word about this blog to all those you know, by the way of emails or in you blogs. Any help in that direction will be greatly appreciated. I will create links/Blogroll soon. Please bear with me until I do.

My email id: gautami.tripathy[at]gmail.com

PS: I follow most of you on my google reader. Don't forget to follow me or adding me to your blogroll!

Update: I managed get hold this Template from my archives. It is same as the older one I used, is it not?!

That totally stinks! I'm so new to blogging. What is malware? It sounds like the great Nothing in The Neverending Story that just comes along and eats everything!!

I've updated my google reader with your new blog. Will also give you a shout out during tomorrow's Sunday Salon.

Good luck getting everything!

I am so sorry this happened to you Guatami. It's truly a blogger's worst nightmare. I am happy to see that you were able to recover most of your former blog posts and reviews. I've updated my Google Reader and blogroll. Good luck at your new site!

I'm sorry that you're having to go through all of this. I backed my blog up after what happened to you. I'll add this blog to my reader.

This also happened to me but we were able to get my blog back after contacting the CEO of the company and begging and pleading. What can motivate these spammers? It's so cruel! I changed over my Google Reader to your new address. Welcome to your new blog!

Oh hon, I am so very sorry! When you posted on Monday with your reading list, I saw it then. This is truly a horrible thing. And yes, I will post about this on my blog.

Sorry you lost your old blog. That's too bad, and very scary.

I'll have to figure out how to back up my blog.

Hi Guatami. I am so sorry this has happened to you! How does this happen and how does one back up their blog? I had no idea! I will post about your new blog this weekend on my blog--not that I have that big of a readership, ;), but every little bit will help. I have also joined you as a follower too!
Hope things can get figured out soon for you and there is some resolution-at the very least that you can retrieve all your information to this new spot!

Hope you have a happy weekend---and thank you for your kind comment on my blog post regarding my college having the flu. I really appreciate it and wanted to say that your nephew is very lucky to have an auntie close by who cares!! :)

Guatami, I hate it when stuff like that happens. Hope you recover your posts. I have had one blog disappear on me (wordpress rather than blogspot), and know how frustrating it is.

Keep on reading!

Glad to see you back! What a pain.

My 3 column template was one I found online. They give you the code on the site.

Also something happened to my blog a couple of days ago. I couldn't open it, it was saying that my blog was lost. And then I found someone somewhere on the web saying the same thing happened and this is what the instructions were and it worked: 1. Go to blogger.com
2. Sign in to your blog, 3. It will take you to layout, from there go to Edit HTML 4. Download your old blog template to your computer 5. Pick a new template 6. After a new template is saved, go back to Edit HTML and browse your old template from your saved computer files. It worked for me but I'm not sure that you had the same problem.
