Monday Mailbox is hosted by Marcia.
I received only one book as a gift from my friend:
Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
Something Borrowed tells the story of Rachel, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. Rachel has always been the consummate good girl---until her thirtieth birthday, when her best friend, Darcy, throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks, Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiancé.

I am in midst of reading:
When She Flew by Jennie Shortridge
Zan-Gah by A. R. Shickman
I plan to read:
Whatever I can!
I posted reviews of:
Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier
Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo

How do you feel about books written in a differing format – whether this be journals or letters (epistolary), verse novels, or any other form? Is this something you enjoy? Or do you prefer straight forward chapter prose.
I can read books written in different formats. Plain narration, epistolary, verse, graphic, anything. It depends more the plot, story or subject matter. Initially, a different format might take me a little while to get used to it, once I do, I throw myself into the reading with a gusto. I also like to read novels which go back and forth in the past and present or even future.
As I love poetry, I like novels written in the verse form very much. I get a double whammy that way. Poetry as well a novel. I suppose I would like to explore new formats. Any recommendations?

I've read lots of great reviews for When She Flew, so I can't wait to see what you think of it!
Exactly what I was going to say. I have too, and I do like the sound of "When She Flew"!
Here is mine! Thanks!
I too like when the plot goes from past to present every other chapter or when it happens with characters.

Something Borrowed looks like a fun chick lit read. Hope you enjoy it!
Your books look good! I have an Emily Giffin book on my stacks, but not this one! I'll have to track it down.
Enjoy your books. Here's Monday Musing and Here's Mailbox Monday..
I've been wanting to read something by Giffin but I just haven't had a chance to yet. I hope you enjoy it!
I enjoy when the story takes you to the characters' pasts, it seems to enrich them.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. I haven't read poetry in a long long time and every time I visit your blog, you do inspire me to.
I must remember that before I pick up my next read!
I highly recommend The Arrival by Shaun Tan as a graphic novel. Fascinating, thought-provoking book on what it's like to be a newcomer to a strange land.
Here is my Monday: http://thelostentwife.net/2010/03/01/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-10/
I've discovered fairly recently that I absolutely love epistolary books. Of course, they must be well-written!
Enjoy all your reading. :)
I have the the Emily Giffin book in my TBR and it really looks good.
I like your answer for what you are reading this week: Whatever I can! Good answer. LOL.

The Something Borrowed & the rest in her series look like fun reads! I'm curious too about what you think of When She Flew :)
I haven't read Something Borrowed, but Baby Proof by the same author left me a bit despondent.
Happy reading.
I have a few Emily Giffin books on my shelf that I haven't read yet. Hope you enjoy it!
