Who, if anyone usually accompanies you to the library? Is it somewhere you go alone? Or is it a regular outing with family or friends? Which do you prefer?
Nowadays, I seldom visit the library. Any library. However, when I was regular visitor to a library, I used to do it alone. I browsed books leisurely at my own pace. Picking this, leaving that.
Even now when I visit bookstores, I prefer my own company. Pausing, buying in my own time and at my own pace. But I do love taking along my nephews and nieces and let them buy whatever they desire. It is huge outing for all of us. After buying books, we end up having lunch/dinner and truly enjoy!

I like to go to bookstores and libraries alone too. Every time I bring my hubby he rushes me and doesn't understand the process of choosing a book.
Have a great reading week, I liked your review of Tender Graces.
I have just gone back to visiting the library after a 2 year break, I think the dwindling bank balance encouraged me to break the library drought lol. I do like to go on my own so there is nobody nagging at me to go home!
I prefer my own company when visiting bookstores and libraries too. It's just much more comfortable and you're not being hassled by well meaning friends.
I need a no book week, but it sure is hard to wish for. I hope you get lots of books this week.
Happy Reading! :D
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on In Cold Blood. I read it earlier this year and it really stuck with me.
Happy Reading... enjoy your week!
Well that's a nice trip out, bookstore and lunch! Here's my musing
You've got some good books to read there! Enjoy them this week!
I always go the library and the bookshop alone: I like to take time to browse. Strangely, some people seem to think taking an hour to choose two or three books is unreasonable.
I've left you an award here.
Great list! I am looking forward to Kathryn Magendie's next book!
I prefer going to bookstores and libraries on my own too.
Interesting. I didn't do too good this week. Update 2
I just ordered some new books, ensuring new arrivals this week :-).
Enjoy your reading!
I love to visit the library - our one is always so up to date with books. Usually go on my own.
I love to read Millay's poems. I've never read her life story.
I prefer my own company too. my Monday musings
I've had "empty mailbox weeks" and I look at them as a chance to catch up or catch my breath : )
Enjoy your reading this week!
The only person I every go to the library with is my daughter, and even then we split up.
I prefer going alone too. It's relaxing isn't it? btw, I gave you an award, it's on my blog. Congrats :D seriously, I think you have a great blog.
The murder of the Clutter family, which is what "In Cold Blood" is about was very tragic :( Obviously it was before my time but I grew up in Southwest Kansas and lived 30 minutes away from Holcomb and visited the Clutter farm (which is closed off by the new owners). Truman Capote is an excellent write!
I also enjoy book shopping all by myself, too!
You can find my Monday list here
Wow, you had a great week! I want to read In Cold Blood, so I'll have to keep an eye out for your review.
I sometimes go to the library with my youngest son, Sam, but also go alone too. I love to take the whole the family to the bookstore, but we then usually split up an look for our own stuff. We used to do that every couple of weeks when my boys were younger, but they are so busy with their own teen stuff that it happens way less often.
Sorry about your empty mailbox-but sometimes that is okay, isn't it! ;)
*smiles*

I want to read A year of Wonders...sounds like you've got some great books going on there!!
sorry to hear you haven't received any books yet, though I am sure you have plenty to occupy your time.
Have a great week. I'm finally back online after a week of vacation.
