I must mention here that I read at my own pace and depending on my mood. Don't ask me to hurry.
Who would you rather borrow from? Your library? Or a Friend? (Or don’t your friends trust you to return their books? And, DO you return books you borrow?
I can borrow from anywhere..friends or/and library. And I do make it a point to return borrowed books. My friends do trust me in that regard!!
But nowadays, I end up buying books. And hoarding them for a while before I give those away!

I also return books I have borrowed
I rarely borrow books these days, but prefer to borrow from friends since there's no time limit.
I too, buy most of my books, no worry about returning, and can read them at my convenience.
In my post, I didn't add this one tidbit: I seldom borrow, because I buy lots of books, and also get freebies to review.
But when I do borrow, here's what I wrote:

I'd rather borrow with friends so that we can discuss it when we finish it.
I would rather get my books from the library, and when I do borrow a book from someone , I do make sure I return it.
I love the library! My kids go every week to do story time there. And since we have inter-library loan, I usually only buy books if I love them.
My friends do not read as much as I do so I borrow from the library. I've usually already read the books they have!
In melbourne I borrow in Sri Lanka I have to buy (second hand of course!) no other choices!
I hoard too many books too! I prefer to buy them secondhand.
