For any author who would like his/her book to be reviewed, contact me. Poetry books too are solicited for reviewing. However, there are some genres I tend to avoid. Feel free to ask me.

I must mention here that I read at my own pace and depending on my mood. Don't ask me to hurry.

Yes, some books do very well with just skimming and reading the last pages. Glad to know I'm not the only one who does that occasionally!
I leave the book if I can't get through it... give me some time, the give it a 2nd chance...
still doesn't work, ditch it!
I seem to be one of the rare people who keep reading until the end. I don't really know why I do it, but I can't stop myself.
I agree, there are just too many books out there.
My inclination is to keep going, but if I felt it was truly bad or a waste of time, I'd abandon it.
Me too! I have so many books to read, I've stopped being compulsive about finishing bad ones (although I still do feel a twinge of regret, just in case the book somehow gets better farther into it!)
Yes, yes, I completely agree. I generally put those books on BookMooch or give them away, and never think about them again.
I need to do more of this and stop plodding through books I'm not really enjoying.
I think I should try that...re-reading a book I didn't like the first time and put down. Maybe it's the mood I'm in or something.
Here's mine (I used to be Lynne's Letters):

Don't some make you want to chuck them though - literally hahaha

Hear hear!! why waste time for something you don't like :)
I think in the past two years, I've only not finished two books. Usually, there's something that keeps me reading.
I agree. I don't finish books that don't grab me. Like you, I do also usually skim the ending.
