Empty Mailbox, Non-existent Reading, musings for a Monday!

Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia at A Girl and Her BooksStaci from Life in the Thumb  is hosting for the month of August.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila of Book Journey.

I have not being soliciting or buying books. And to top it all, I am also refusing to receiving and reviewing novels.  I did participate in giveaways after a long time but won nothing!! No wonder, my mailbox is empty.

That suits me fine, I suppose, as I am not doing any reading either. No single book finished in the 31 days of July. I no longer care if I read or not....That is good or bad, I don't know.....

As a book blogger, does reading others’ blogs spark ideas for what to write on your own?

I usually do my own thing. But yes, memes and prompts are inspired by other blogs and do give me ideas when I want.

How do you feel about not reading so much? I'm wondering if I would gravitate toward different hobbies or if my house would just be cleaner. :)

My mailbox was empty last week too. I agree with Alyce, my house would be cleaner and I'd be caught up on all the scrapbooking I want to do!

Well, I hope that you read when you want to and on your time schedule! I have other hobbies too like scrapbooking and photography! Thanks for stopping by today!

If reading is not what you wnt to do, then let it be. It is a good thing to know what you want.

I guess I actually do "borrow' to the extent that I partake in a couple of meme...especially Musing Monday. But then we all take that and make it unique, make it ours...our own unique voice is what I think blogging is all about.

I usually do my own thing as well. Feel free to check out my Musing Monday here.

I don't have time to read all the books I'd like to.

Here's my MM: http://diannehartsocksalex.wordpress.com/alexs-blogs/

It's hard to keep up with all the reading, a break is good once in awhile.

All your books are "new to me" books. So will have to wait for your reviews. Have a great week.

If reading is not making you happy then a break is what you need. I would get much more done if I wasn't reading and blogging. It's hard to find a happy balance.

I'm reading but not as much as I do when I'm in school. What I am reading is a mixture of things I own and things from the library.

Thank you for stopping by earlier.

You need a break from all that reading. Think of it as a summer's rest before the storm of books come abounding ;)

Sometimes we all need a break from reading to do other things. I feel like that at times, too. I could be accomplishing other things if I'd stop reading and reviewing...at least for a short time.
