Booking through Dog Days

btt button
What animal-related books have you read? Which do you love? Do you have a favorite literary dog? (Snoopy, anyone?)

I don't own a pet. But I do love dogs. My brother has one and I love her to bits! Amongst literary dogs, I love Snowy! He and Tintin (created by Herge) are inseparable! Here are a few pics:

I have never read Tintin. I have seen it. I did not know the dog's name. Thanks!

Hi Gautami,

Several yrs ago I read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon. Excellent read! Even more yrs ago, I read Jack London's Call of the Wild. Oh, Snoopy form Peanuts. YES! How I miss that comicstrip.

I adore dogs, too and grew up with dogs and owned one as an adult on my own. I"m glad you ca play w/ your brother's doggie.

I still paint pet portrait commissions. (AN album will be going up on FB, once I get the hang of the ins and outs of FB.) I haven't read an animal related book recently. The two on my list are for upcoming real life book clubs.

We love Tintin's dog too! As a matter of fact, our dog was named for her.

Didn't know Tintin's dog was called Snowy in English. In the Swedish translation it's Milou, I think that's the original

How could I forget Snowy! And Idefix from Asterix.

I also love dogs but I rent so I'm not allowed to have one.

How very cute! I honestly couldn't live without at least one dog. Don't know how you do it!
