Sunday Salon: May Wrap up and Hair talks!

I finished 12 books in May. As I have been a bit slow in my reading, this came as a surprise. A few are e-books but so what? I am way behind in my reviews. Sometime I think should I bother writing reviews? Am not so sure about that.

Here are the books I read in May:

12) Borderlands by Brian McGilloway (CF)
11) Caribou Island by David Vann
10) The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly(CF)
9) The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger*
8) Before I Go to Sleep by S J Watson*
7) Room by Emma Donoghue**
6) His Lady Mistress by Elizabeth Rolls
5) The Italian's Inexperienced Mistress by Lynne Graham
4) Married by Mistake Abby Gains
3) Speed Dating by Nancy Warren
2) Homespun Bride by Jillian Hart
1) The Wicked House of Rohan by Anne Stuart

I read Aisle B's post today and she has mentioned Johanna Lindsey's lovely locks! Thought I ought to show mine! Why not?!! AS you can see I have jet black hair. I keep it braided as shown here. Left open, it is totally unmanageable!! Those who are on FB might have seen me with long hair! Folks, what do you think! Should I cut it off? Thinking about it.

Wow, that's some seriously long hair! Mine never gets past my shoulders before it gets all stringy. Sigh.

Finally someone with hair as long as mine. You have beautiful thick hair. Mine is thin. The only way I wear mine is in a braid and I too wonder everyday about cutting it.

BTW, great list of books you read in May.

I love your hair-I wouldn't cut it! My hair is nearly as long as yours. Usually when it gets below my waist I have my daughter trim an inch or so. Right now it is about two inches past my waist. Not everyone can grow their hair as long as yours is-it's a gift!

NO! Don't cut it! Leave it!

Girl you have some serious luscious hair!

PS You read so much in MAY, man do I feel like a slug ;)

I do think you should write reviews!

Your hair is gorgeous - do you braid it yourself?

Thanks, Kathy. I do it myself. I am so used to it!

I had very long hair as a teen. Cutting it was the best thing I ever did. I went from low back to mid shoulders and it was so freeing but I still had the benefits of long hair.

So, as someone who once had really long hair I'd say cut it! But don't cut too much. Go in and ask for it to be mid shoulder.

Great list of books read and gorgeous hair!

I have long hair (not nearly as long as yours--mine goes about 3/4 down my back) and am growing it out a couple more inches before cutting it off to donate. As thick as your hair is, my guess is that if you cut off the mandatory 10" to donate to various charities, they could probably get two wigs from your hair--if you want to consider going that route.

Great list of books! I just finished listening to The Time Traveler's Wife on audio - it was a reread. I loved it - again. :)

I love my short hair, but it's your decision. I liked your two books you received and have put them on my TBR list.

I love long hair on other people (and yours is gorgeous) but can't stand it on myself. It just gets too heavy for me, and mine doesn't look good when it gets long.

Your hair is beautiful. Do you have organizations that take donated hair and make them into wigs for cancer patients? If so, go for it. You could donate 12-14 inches and still have long hair.

I did it back in February!

PS: Write reviews! Even if they are just a few sentences on what you thought.

Your hair is beautiful and I wouldn't cut it. I let mine grow and then get it cut off and always regret it!
