Booking through Multi-Tasking

Do you multi-task when you read? Do other things like stirring things on the stove, brushing your teeth, watching television, knitting, walking, et cetera?

I listen to music while reading. Other than that I can't do much. Yes, while travelling by train, I can read or in waiting rooms but that isn't multi-tasking. Previously, I could watch TV along with reading but not now.

I wish I could do so many things while reading, but I can't. What about you?

I used to be able to watch TV and read but not now either. Wish I knew what happened. I would get so much more done if I could do both again heh.

I listen to audio books a lot which does allow me to sometimes do other things at the same time.

I can't multi-task when I'm reading. I can watch TV and be on the computer, but when I'm reading, I need peace and quiet. My answer here is here

I can! I read while watching tv, while out at stores....the things I do consider multi-tasking aren't that hard though.

Here's my BTT!

I can read everywhere and can be noisy. My daughters do not let it be otherwise.
Sorry for my English :)
Have a nice day.

Topics like this always remind me that I should take more advantage of listening to audio books but I never seem to get it arranged. Thanks for encouragement comment on my blog and Happy Thursday-Take-Stock Day (just made that up.) (See how hard this break will be for me?!) :)

Yeah, I agree with you - mostly just music and not much distractions while reading nowadays

Here's my Multi-Tasking (Booking Through Thursday) post!

I like peace and quiet when I read.

I prefer to just be able to listen to music while reading, but things seem to get in the way and I end up multitasking while reading.

Yes, I used to be better at reading while watching TV...now, my focus needs to be on the reading.

I'm the same way. I can do small, mindless tasks while listening an audio book but not while reading.

I can't listen to music or have the tv in the background. Really bothers me.

Mostly, I like a quiet place to read.

I usually listen to music while reading too. But I have to have it on quite softly.

New follower here....

At first I didn't think that I multi-tasked when I read, but then when I really thought about it I guess I do. I eat and read. I also mute the commercials and read while watching TV. I drive to work and listen to a book too. So yes, I definitely multi-task and read.

I have trouble reading with music on because if a song starts playing that I like it breaks my concentration.

I multitask. It feels like a waste of time not to read while brushing my teeth: http://mostraum.wordpress.com/2011/03/10/booking-through-thursday-multitasking/

I can multi-task when I have to, but I really prefer to do one thing at a time. Especially reading.

I'm very thankful that I'm able to listen to audiobooks at work. Totally didn't think of audiobooks in my post--as with those, I *do* find myself doing other multi-tasking (mainly painting, or at work...work).

Thanks for my blog earlier today! I'm still relatively new, but am excited to get the ball rolling and meet new folks!

Music is about the only thing I don't find super distracting while reading, but it has to be at a very low volume. It can be pretty much any type of music, so long as it's not too loud.

Thanks again for commenting! I'm following you now, as well =)

I can listen to music if it's down really low or coming from another room.

Sometimes we get too occupied with what we're reading.

Thanks for dropping by my blog.
