The Sunday Post/Sunday Salon: Fever, Festival and all that

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It has been raining off and on. Mostly cloudy. Good to be out in such weather but it also makes one sick! I got wet in the rains and suffered from cough, cold and fever. Had to take a day off from work, sleeping most of the day. Had body ache for three days. That also meant no walking or jogging! Overall it wasn't that bad a week. Celebrated Janmashtami (Lord Krishna's Birth) on 10 August. Of course I read a lot, mostly e-books on my computer, what one calls trash! I think I have been reading Crime Fiction for SO long that I need to cleanse my mind with romance novels. Don't we all wish for happy endings? I do not feel guilty for reading those novels. My writing has gone down. I need to catch up with that.

Coming back to what I posted on my blog, here I go:

I hope you are feeling better. My daughter has had a cough and runny nose all week and tonight spiked a fever, so we will be heading to the clinic in the morning. I missed your post this week, but will fix that now. I love crime fiction too. I like to mix up my genres and throw a romance in the mix at least once a month. Have an awesome week and thanks for being a part of The Sunday Post Hope you get writing in this week.

As I was reading this I though you weren't having a good week at all! But lots of reading is a bonus. Hope you're feeling better.

I like that you will cleanse your mind with romance novels. I've been reading a mix of quality literature and trash myself, though the trash has been science fiction instead of crime fiction lately.

I think romance novels are the perfect way to cleanse the mind. :) Just what the doctor ordered.
