The Thorn Birds!! I read that when I was 12 and it was so eye-opening for me (did my parents pay ANY attention to what I was reading?). I need to re-read that! I would add Gone With the Wind to your list!

Great list! There are several on here that I haven't read, so I'll have to check them out! I did love Wuthering Heights & The Notebook - epic!
