Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week, we get a theme to list our top tens.
This Week's Pick: Top Ten Books I Want To Give As Gifts (and to who...even if you won't actually give them!)
Here I go:
1) Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll to any kid I know who hasn't received it from me in the last few years.
2) Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson to my nephew (he is 23 years old and has been eyeing the trilogy on my bookshelf)
3) Tin Tin Albums to my good friend, Suchis (well, I am NOT going to part with my collection ever!!)
4) Poetry books to myself. I need to read poetry more and more.
5) Twilight series to the nearest river. Those really need to be thrown into obscurity
6) Technical books to my brothers
7) Cook books to my sisters in law
8) Short story collections to my mom
9) Fashion magazines to many of my friends
10) A Book of Photography to someone VERY special

Tintin and Alice are both great gifts!
To the nearest river!!
Brilliant!!
As for #4 have you read any Barbara Hamby? If no, I recommend The Alphabet of Desire, and if you love that she also has a short novel called Lester Higata's Twentieth Century that is quite beautiful.
I love giving magazines as gifts!
LOL! Twilight books to the nearest river! Sounds like a nicely thought out list. I like how you included poetry for yourself. kaye—the road goes ever ever on
I couldn't agree more with your assessment of the Twolight books! For those fashion eyesores, I highly recommend Clinton Kelly's OH NO SHE DIDN'T.
Tintin anthologies were favorite Christmas gifts in our home growing up - a great choice for kids.
I still haven't gotten around reading The Millenium trilogy. Shame on me.
My TTT post
Great list - I've even read some of them. :)!
Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday post. :)
I was confused by your inclusion of Twilight, until I read the explanation! So funny!
Great gift ideas! I'm reading Tintin right now.
Here's my Top Ten Books I Want to Give as Gifts.
Oh man, I laughed with the Twilight gift. I need to pick up the Millennium books. Great books; I could always use cook books and technical books.
Thanks for fixing my link and visiting my top ten.
Every year I want to give Alice to someone, but I haven't found the right person yet. I guess I'll wait until my niece and nephew are a little older. I think you have to be a bit quirky and open-minded to truly appreciate Carroll.
I need to see what these Tintin books are all about!
LMAO!!!!!!!! Love the Twilight one.. hahahaha..
Thanks for stopping by my Harry Potter Top 10!

I love the hardcover collection of the Steig Larsson trilogy. They are very nice looking anyway.
LOL! I only read the first in the Twilight series and think polluting the river with them is just wrong ;)
