For any author who would like his/her book to be reviewed, contact me. Poetry books too are solicited for reviewing. However, there are some genres I tend to avoid. Feel free to ask me.

I must mention here that I read at my own pace and depending on my mood. Don't ask me to hurry.

I wish I had the space to have a library - that would be ideal.
Here is my BTT.
I definitely prefer owning my books. I love being surrounded by my books. I do donate some of my books to the local library from time to time.
I generally buy books. I'll only lend them to certain people because I've lent a few out that never found their way back to me.
I like to buy my books because I like to lend them. I often find this frustrating, though since I have to go hunting for them back most of the time.
I’m a big re-reader so I like to own my books. But I definitely need to start thinking about getting rid of the books I won't ever re-read.

It's hard to keep them all, with limited space, and it's good to share.
How about "temporarily own"? I want to own them for the period of time when I'm reading them and then get rid of them when I'm done. I don't reread and I don't have a lot of extra space.
I mostly borrow books, but I by those which I really like and I know I will reread.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
There are specific books from favourite authors, certain topics like gardening or the Titanic or horses, or genres like mysteries that I do like to collect.

The only instance of me keeping books I'm not going to re-read is if they are beautiful. I love beautiful books.
Nice answer! It's true, that it's hard to find the good ones. I am also a re-reader, and my supply grows everyday. :)
Love your blog!
I'm a borrower first, buyer second.
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Some people make it very hard to lend books out but over the years my family, friend, even the children know that mom, auntie, cousin, niece ,is SERIOUS about her books. i will ban you from my house if you have not returned my book. lol. but really, you just have to be strict about the love of your books, nice but strict. dont lend to those that have demonstrated a lack of responsibility for something you enjoy/love. saved me some serious upset and anger moments.
Yes, there are definite disadvantages to owning (space!), but I still enjoy having them around. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I like "owning" them as being new but do pass them on once I read them. As you said, space does become a problem.
I agree...re-readability is a crucial factor in determining whether to own a book :)
There's also the question of if you ever decide to move.....books can be heavy!
I never re-read because there are so many books out there that I still need to read, but I'd still much prefer to own my own. That's only if I didn't have to worry about cost or space.
Totally agree, except that there's a part of me that goes: my precious books! lol
I certainly do have much to learn about selective hoarding! I find it difficult to release books I own. haha.
Thanks for commenting in my blog.
I like both, it depends on the book.
I think you are right about borrowing the books you just want to read but don't really want in your library. Or, if you do buy them and find you don't want them, pass them on. I don't have room for many more and besides, there are people out there who would love to have books at their disposal and don't so why not share? I am going to visit my local library this week and get back in the habit of going there.
Yes! I definitely only want to own books that I know I'm going to read again.
