What elements do you think lands a book in that ‘best’ category? Think of your top 5 best books and tune in next week to see the collated list.
For the best book category, there has to be some criterias. I think, great story line, good plotting, wonderful charactisation and plausible settings are essential. It has to hold interest till the end and also long after reading it.
I like to talk about good books to anyone who can listen to me. Mostly perfect strangers. It gives me high if someone buys a book on my recommendations.
I don't believe I can list 5 best books. I have too many in my list. However, in the recent weeks, I read the following great books:
The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson
Mind you these are only two books out of too many!

It is hard to name just 5 books that you love, isn't it? My book week was slow and I think next week will be even slower.
I'll be reading the Murderer's Daughters next week...can't wait!
I loved the two books you listed, although they would not make my top 5, and I agree it is very hard to pick.
But I gave it A GO! lol
I'm going to have to read this set.
Here is mine
I'm glad that you enjoyed The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. I personally found it a great disappointment, but I know I'm in a huge minority.
About time I visited...
The last novel I read (a few weeks ago) was The Tesseract by Alex Garland - author of The Beach.
I received one book last week and none the previous week. My post is here.
My mailbox has been slow also but that's okay. I am using the time to catch up on the books that are here. Have a great week!
I can't list 5, the others will get jealous. [Here's Mine].

I read the first in Larsson's trilogy, but not the second one yet. Actually, I started it a few months ago but didn't get very far into the book. With your recommendation now, I am more apt to pick it up again, sooner rather than later.
sounds like you've been busy reading...wow...and just those 2 books...fantastic.
