Sometimes, I do. Not all the time, though. Some novels are so good despite bad covers and the opposite is true too.

My first impression is almost always based on the cover.
A pretty cover will draw me in every time. But ill check out the summary as well.

The cover is always what catches my attention first. But it isn't the sole reason I buy books. I'm already a follower. My FF is at Coffee Table Reviews
The cover usually attracts me to the book.

I agree there are some bad books in pretty covers! And some great books in ugly ones. Covers might spark my attention at first, but it won't be the reason I get a book.
