For any author who would like his/her book to be reviewed, contact me. Poetry books too are solicited for reviewing. However, there are some genres I tend to avoid. Feel free to ask me.

I must mention here that I read at my own pace and depending on my mood. Don't ask me to hurry.

How fun! I read a book about HAM radio operator when I was a kid and wanted to be one some kind of bad.
That is some antenna. Better watch out for low doorways. Here's Mine
Paulita's right - he better watch out for low doorways and low flying aircraft. Wow! Word verification is sure making things difficult.
That is a retractable/Folding antenna! So no worries..
Intriguing! I also love the shot against the night sky and the glittering stars....
Thanks for sharing...and here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
haven't seen one of those in ages.
Ham radio, pre-internet days of making contact with other countries :)

I realize I don't really know much about HAM radios. What is the lure?
Cool! We have a friend who is so into Ham radio that they built a special radio tower next to their house.
HAM is still very useful in case of natural calamities. Internet fails, cell phones fail but HAM operators can get through anyone.
The lure can only be understood by an enthusiast. And not ALL can get a License. It is not so easy like getting an internet connection or a cell phone network.

That's a very long arial - I didn't realise that in these hi-tech days there were still ham radio enthusiasts, but I'm glad you've not been pushed out by computers, mobile phones etc. My Saturday snapshots are at http://chriscross-thebooktrunk.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/witches-woods-and-saturday-snapshots.html
I didn't realize that ham radios were small enough to fit in your hand. I always imagine a much larger set-up on a table with lots of knobs and things. And everyone is right...that's some antenna!
Here's my Snapshot.
Wow! I didn't realize that ham radios were that small either! That's a lot of antenna for a radio that tiny!
We have a friend that is a HAM enthusiast. Was anyone on the other end?
