Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia at A Girl and Her Books. Mari of Mari Reads is hosting for the month of May.
I received the following two books in my mailbox, thanks to the author/publicists:
1) Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran: In this deft historical novel, Madame Tussaud (1761-1850) escapes the pages of trivia quizzes to become a real person far more arresting than even her waxwork sculptures. Who among us knew, for instance, that she moved freely through the royal court of Louis XVI, only to become a prisoner of the Reign of Terror? Her head was shaven for guillotining, but she escaped execution, though she was forced to make death masks for prominent victims.
2) Ravenwild by Peter J. Plasse:
Returning home from another grueling shift of E.R. work, Dr. Blake Lee Strong comes across a downed motorcyclist and stops to help, but little does he know that his world and that of his family will soon be turned upside down. Duped into being transported to another planet called Inam'Ra, Dr. Strong and his family are thrust into a medieval world populated by Trolls, Gnomes, Elves, Dwarves, Humans and other alien beings. An epic odyssey begins as the Strong family fights for not only their own survival, but also for the continued existence of the citizens of Ravenwild.

I finished two e-books, pretty easy reads:
1) The Wicked House of Rohan by Anne Stuart
2) Homespun Bride by Jillian Hart
I am in the midst of reading:
The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly

Do you care if the book’s storyline is unrealistic? Will you keep reading, or will you set the book aside?
Fantasy novels are unrealistic. Yet they sell like hot cakes. In other words, I will keep reading an engrossing fantasy novel!
