Friday Finds: Mijeong by Byung-Jun Byun

Mijeong by Byung-Jun Byun

Product Description

In Chinese, Mijeong means pure beauty. In the cold city, young people's lives cross and spark for brief moments in this remarkably drawn graphic novel; Wounded characters, squashed by the daily hard realities of urban living whose destinies take sudden unannounced turns but their inner flames shine bright and wild, even for a brief time. From the girl who deals sensitively with an older man obsessed by youth to the group of friends who find their friend has committed suicide but feel they might get implicated, this engrossing collection of stories will transfix and move you deeply.

  2. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, I may love Debbie Macomber but I haven't read everything she's written and some books I didn't finish.

Your pick sounds really sad. I wonder if the library has it...wander off to write a reminder note

  5. This looks like a beautiful book. If the artwork is anything like the cover, than I'm already a fan. Great find, I'm adding it to my wish list.

  10. I think you are the one who finally convinced me to try graphic novels. I am still very far behind the curve but I read what I can and I think this book sounds lovely. It's one I will add to my list (I'm glad my computers working again, I missed visiting your blog).
