What’s the lightest, most “fluff” kind of book you’ve read recently?
How does on define fluff? Light reading? As I do serious reading, I could only manage to find the following two books in my archives of 2009. You can read my synopsis by clicking on the titles or covers.
1). A La Carte by Tanita S Davis is a sweet book which does not need much thinking while reading it.
2) The Perfect Bride by Brenda Joyce is a romance novel. Need I say more?

I didn't even post it this week because if fluff is what I think it is then unfortunately I don't have any on my recent 'read' list.
ReplyDeleteI find if I get bogged down in "serious" reads, I need a little brain candy :) My name is Susan and I am a bit of a fluff-a-holic (sometimes...) Here's my BTT response.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Tanita Davis cover. I want to read Mare's War. I didn't know about this but i think I've just added it to my list as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI love fluff and serious stuff. Got to keep it mixed up for fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou do often read more literary works, so it's interesting to know what you look for in fluff! I often strive to read both; my mind needs a rest sometimes, but I also like to be challenged.
ReplyDeleteI avoid "romance" books because of the stigma associated with them. Are they anything except fluff? Has their ever been a "high-brow" romance novel?
ReplyDeleteThe Perfect Bride does sound a bit fluffy. Here is mine
ReplyDeletesometimes I read a romance just because I need a little time out. I’m booking thru Thursday here
ReplyDeleteAs a rule, I don't read fluff, because I don't enjoy it. Every once in a great while, I might pick one up and be pleasantly surprised!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need one of those not-too-much-thinking books! :-)
ReplyDeleteLike you, I enjoy more serious content in the books I read. I quit reading romance novels years ago, but I do enjoy a lighter read from time to time.
ReplyDeleteGreat fluff - I'm going to have to check out Tanita Davis.
ReplyDeletenice! I love it! maybe i'll put them on my tbr pile
ReplyDeleteI always tend to class 'fluff' as most chick lit or Mills and Boone - that kind of thing. Something that doesn't take a lot of brain power and is a fairly predictable read. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Brenda Joyce's books in awhile. Lately I've been reading more serious books than fluff, but I do enjoy my fluff :)
ReplyDeleteThe book by Tanita Davis sounds good!
ReplyDeleteSince I don't like romance, i'll pass on your second book :)
ReplyDelete'The perfect bride'...even its title is fluffy-eque!
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty "fluffy."
ReplyDeleteMine's HERE
I have to admit to loving fluff occasionally.
ReplyDeleteI love Brenda Joyce for fun fluff!
ReplyDeleteAnd Danielle Steel would be another Fluff piece that I rad, albeit years ago, but also Janet Evanovich comes to mind.
