I blame the internet... jumping around reading a lot of short articles was affecting my attention span. So I went to the library and checked out a few scifi novellas since that's a genre I enjoy. That got me back in the mood for novels again. Hope your slump ends soon.Leslie (Under My Apple Tree)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17822229389189435951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2263295136331930331.post-51465726939846841982010-09-24T02:36:59.636+05:302010-09-24T02:36:59.636+05:30I have had a tough time deciding what to read last...I have had a tough time deciding what to read last week. I'm currently at rather low tide, but I'm reading "Secrets of a Mysterious Older Woman" by Constance Feathers. It's a post-divorce memoir that includes humor, romance, burlesque, barns haunted by cows and tips on being a MOW (mysterious older woman). Frankly, it's awesome!Mollyhttp://twitter.com/MollyB777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2263295136331930331.post-30309509896044085122010-09-24T01:56:47.471+05:302010-09-24T01:56:47.471+05:30I go through slumps also. So I joined too and last night picked up my current book and read until I fell asleep. It got me back on track. If you are interested, I posted about it today on my blog.
CMashCMashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02127437807115591580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2263295136331930331.post-40228300510160571742010-09-23T18:40:47.981+05:302010-09-23T18:40:47.981+05:30Yes, I think we all go through reading "slump...Yes, I think we all go through reading "slumps". Actually, I went through one that lasted years, back in the '90s. You just never know what causes it, or how long it'll last. But I agree that you probably shouldn't push it - just give yourself a break for a while and do other things that you enjoy.jlshallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03268434704970729620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2263295136331930331.post-76079658531200012892010-09-23T18:09:10.210+05:302010-09-23T18:09:10.210+05:30We all go through slumps. I was listening to some pretty interesting audio books, so I concentrated on those for a while, and now my slump is over. That was a 2 month slump. You're interest will pick up again. But in a few weeks my book level might be too high and I'll still read, but not so urgently and I'll feel like I need to catch up with some great movies I've missed. It might not be movies for you or it might not be anything other than not reading as much for a little while. Then one day soon, something on your TBR stack, or something else, will catch your eye and you'll feel that familiar tug...

In the meantime, just relax and pay attention to life and think of it as a rest, like in music, until the next movement begins.teacherninjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07690406470351639188noreply@blogger.com
