Water logging in front of brother's place after heavy rain. And we (I) made paper boats!! Come rains, Delhi becomes water logged. I and my mom had to wait three hours for the water to recede so as to get back home.
What an interesting thing to do while waiting for the rain to subside. I've not made any paper boats since childhood. This is so fun. Thanks for sharing.
That is a positive, fun thing to do with too much water. We have had lots of rain this summer and a soggy yard. Next time kids are over maybe we will try some paper boats on our small creek. :-) Thanks.
I like the paper boats. Weather was wet yesterday, but it's been fairly dry here most of the summer. This week I've shifted my Snapshot on to my other blog http://goo.gl/4Z1dgf
Your photo reminds me of a camp trip I made with a troop of Brownie Girl Scouts. We made paper boats and placed a small candle in each one ... then made wishes on the candles, lit them, and sent them off into the pond on which we were camping in the starlight. The girls still remember that evening!
I am sorry you were flooded-but I love how you made use of the time~ It happens-I had it happen to me in Florida. I love your post-thank you for sharing! :D
Very clever! We've had so much rain here this summer, I think we could float paper boats too.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I used to make paper boats for my boys to float in the streams of Colorado when we lived there!
ReplyDeleteI have grown up in Kolkata and it was so usual for us to do what you were doing... memories of the past, flashed in a second... Thanks for sharing...

ReplyDeleteWe often get waterlogged here in Houston, Texas. Thanks for the great idea to keep us occupied in the interim.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Saturday Snapshot!
That's a good idea! We're having too much rain right now.

ReplyDeleteIt's always great to see adults playing "children's" games.
