I received a writing Journal from Stacy. I am gonna write poetry in that. Thanks Stacy!!
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila of Book Journey.
I read the following:
1) The Litigators by John Grisham
2) With This Kiss by Victoria Lynne
I am in the midst of reading:
Many books!
I am not sure why YA is popular with adult readers. I don't really read YA stuff. Maybe something which is totally different might interest me. I don't like the fantasy stuff, or the teenage jargon. They do not stimulate me. Give me ADULT fiction any day!
I have been a bit nervous of stepping into the YA genre but have read just a couple of the books. So far so good.
ReplyDeleteI listened to The Litigators and thought it was pretty good; enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI agree but often wonder why adults enjoy the YA genre. For me, I have no interest in even trying to read one since there are so many books in the genres that I enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI'm always impressed by those who are willing to write poetry. It always seems like such a personal endeavor. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteSo you are writing poetry! For a long time already?
ReplyDeleteI just got into it again a few months ago and although it is not completely my cup of tea, I like to play with words so I think I will keep trying for a while. I'm enjoying it anyway.
Happy reading and writing then for you!
Enjoy! your books.

The Litigators is on my list. Hope you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful week and happy reading. My mailbox is here.
ReplyDeleteI need to get The Litigators - it sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteI read only a bit of YA, from time to time. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeletecan't pinpoint why I love YA so much. I still read adult books but not as many as I used to
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge YA fan either. I will read it every now and then. Depending on the book. But it is not really for me. I notice that a lot of book bloggers I follow read YA.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading.
I tend not to read YA. Just too many other books on the shelves I guess.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any John Grisham for ages - I really should do something about that! Enjoy your books :-)
ReplyDeleteLast year I discovered I like reading the YA genre very much, whether dystopian, historical or non-fiction. I guess it brings me back to that youthful feeling.
ReplyDeleteJohn Grisham's books are usually good.
ReplyDeleteI usually read YA for reviews, but I don't go out of my way for it and I'm not really interested in it.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to receive a journal for writing!
ReplyDeleteI don't get why so many adults like the YA genre. If I see lots of great reviews for a YA book that looks good I'll add it to my wish list, but don't read more than a couple a year.
