Mondays: Mailbox/What AM I reading?/Musings

What do you think? Should the schools be without an actual “library” room? Is this a good solution?


No way! We need a library in every school. I can't even think about it!

    I've got "Room" sitting on my shelf right now - hope to get to it soon. And I agree about the library question, although when I first went to school, we didn't have one. Each classroom had its own little library area.

    I can't imagine a school without a library! It would be wrong. I spent quite a bit of time in the school library growing up. I'm not sure if I would be as big of a reader if that had not been an option for me.

    Not only a library but a librarian. I was shocked when I taught in a school without a librarian. It had a room full of books but the organizational scheme was "different" and trying to use the library to teach was impossible.

    I agree as well. I can't imagine a school without a library!

    As far as the books go, I enjoyed Room and Time Traveller's Wife. I hope you did too!

    I've read Room and The Time Travelers Wife- both good, quick reads.

    Every school needs to have a library, even if they can't fund it. As a teacher I love having a place where I can direct kids, on campus, for resources or pleasure.
