I received two books in the past two weeks:

Do you have a favourite picture book, either from your own childhood, or reading to you children?I don't have any picture books from my childhood. Mainly because I gave those away to my nephews and nieces. However, I remember reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears to my older nephew again and again. He knew it by heart yet insisted I read it for him. I think he still has that book somewhere. And he is 22! LOL!
My younger nephew loved Little Red Riding Hood. But he is not a keeper of books!
But my eternal favourite is Cinderella!
Glad to see Wicked has arrived. I thought it might take longer.

Oh The Murder of Roger Ackroyd as well as the Locke books were really good. The others I have not read but shall be looking into all of them, thanks for some new crime fiction titles. I'd never really paid attention to what Wicked was about. Sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteI have a passion for fairytales and wrote my dissertation about them- Grimm's fairy tales in particular. You will find a lot of my posts at

I find it all so fascinating, and the different editions available; oh the list is endless.

I still have several picture books from my childhood collection. Don't know how they managed to survive my mother's frequent clear-outs, but I love having them.
