Wondrous Words Wednesday is hosted by Kathy of BermudaOnion
I found the following word in The Last Bachelor by Betina Krahn
1) Stultifying: "Stultifying," she countered, goaded to find the right word by his use of the wrong one. "They dull the palate and the senses."
Stultify
n.
- The act of humiliating; degradation.
- The state of being humiliated or disgraced; shame.
- A humiliating condition or circumstance.
Stultify is a great word, but being stultified isn't so great. Thanks for participating!
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a word you can use in conversation! Good choice.
ReplyDeleteMy words are here.
I guess she could have said "put down" but that doesn't sound as elegant as stultifying. Thanks for finding that one.
