1)  Introduce yourself

I am a Math teacher who writes poetry and loves to read. I have been blogging since July 2005. I started with a poetry blog. I started my book blog in 2006. 

I am single and very happy with myself. I live in Delhi. I have done  masters in Chemistry as well as English. 

I love to read Crime Fiction all the time. I am also partial to Historical romance novels. I do not own any kind of e-reader. Give me a paper book any time!!

3) What are you currently reading during Thrill Week?


1)  The 12th Victim by Katia Lief
The police call him the working girl killer. But no woman is safe...

6) Favourite trilogy or series you recommend to others to read in the genres above?

The Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson. I say go for it!

7) What popular author(s) have you NOT read but is on your Wishlist?


I have NOT read Jo Nesbo,  Tami Hoag and Lee Child as yet.....

8) Other than blogs, share with us what other tools you use or subscribe to in order to keep up with the latest news on authors, new releases, book tours, etc? 

Barnes & Noble, Shelf Awareness, Goodreads, Shelfari, Guardian, NYT etc etc 

9) What current book is hyped among the blogosphere that you want to read or are not interested in? Why or why not or link your review if you have read it.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn is currently doing the rounds of the blogs. I suppose I will pick it up one of these days..

10) What is most important in these genres to you? Plot, characters, location, dialogue, red herrings, narrator or what mix of them?

I love court dramas and police procedural which have good pace and red herrings. I also like Cozy Mysteries....

11) Recommend a book made into movie you thought both were good? 

The Guns of Navarone by Alistaire MacLean

12) Recommend a book you would like to discuss with others and possibly the author? Note – I will do a poll with participant’s choices at the end of Thrill Week and then we can agree on a date for Q&A. I will try and arrange the chosen author to participate.

Voices of the Dead by Peter Leonard. I would love to discuss this book....

I recommend Gone Girl. I have Peter Leonard on my shelf but haven't read anything by him yet

I forgot you were a math teacher! That's what I get for always reading my blogs through a reader!

Jo Nesbo is fantastic! I've even read his kids' books.

I was totally against ereaders but we got one for our autistic son, and ... well, I got hooked and had to have one too. They have their use but I still like real books better.

Nesbo is on my to-read list as is Gone Girl. One of these days I'll get around to them.

We both chose Gone Girl :) Don't you wish there were days devoted just to reading and everyone else could just take care of themselves? Gage isn't quite there yet!
