Booking through DIY

btt button
If you could write a book, what would it be about, and why?

I am a poet and I would love to publish my work someday. I have written more than 1700 poems. My poems cover almost everything under the sun. One more thing I must mention, I want to write a verse novel someday. About what? I don't know as yet! If anyone is interested read my poetry, please visit my poetry blog, rooted. I am posting two of my poems here-

Strings

I offer that sacred bowl
to the goddess
I let the rituals take over my senses
I might not understand its significance
yet I cut fruits into strings
I do not wish demons to visit
to taste the elaborated food
I never did comprehend their intentions
or the way they followed the flags of peace
only to cause devastation

demons are indigenous,
goddess is usurper;
reaching the summit, only to fall
let us drink from that bowl
before we sell our very soul

Your poems are lovely. I am rubbish at writing poetry - prose is definitely my medium! Here's mine: Small Blonde Hippy

I have read your poems and they are beautiful. You really should compile them into a book.

Lovely poems especially the one about the music. Very beautiful. I am terrible at writing poetry but my grandmother writes some great poems.

Here's my first BTT post :)

I was hoping that when I popped over here to read your answer that you would say a novel in verse! (Your poetry is wonderful!) Is there a novel in verse you've READ that you would recommend?

Wow, so many poems! That's great! I bet you could get them published! I'm not very good at poetry at all, though I have dabbled in it from time to time. You must have a musical ear to write poetry so well; I know I don't! :)

Those poems are really lovely. I remember when I was younger I would always be writing poetry. I probably still have them hidden somewhere. Thanks for stopping by and for answering my question!
