Booking Through Vacations

btt button

Do your reading habits change when you’re on vacation? Do you read more? Do you indulge in lighter, fluffier books than you usually read? Do you save up special books so you’ll be able to spend real vacation time with them? Or do you just read the same old stuff, vacation or not?

It depends on the vacation. I take pretty much the same stuff that I have been reading. But I prefer to read newspapers, magazines and travelogues more. I try to find books related to the place I am visiting. I do go to local book stores and browse. I read less, and look out for more. On some vacations, I have done nothing but read!

Love local book stores AND getting books on, about or from the place I'm vacationing!

It's always good to visit local bookstores. I found some really great books that way.

I love visiting local bookstores that I encounter on my travels, and have been known to ship boxes of books home to myself too. Good posting! Cheers! Chris

Exactly. At the beach, I read a lot; in the city, I read next to nothing.
