Booking through biographies

btt button
There are so many crappy biographies … would you rather read a poorly-written biography of a fascinating life, OR an exquisitely well-written, wonderful read of one of a not-so-interesting life?

It depends.I like biographies. Sometimes I read fictionalized ones too. What I can't read is biographies of so called celebrities, like movie stars, and or half-naked singers. What is there in their lives that I want to know, aspire to know? Nothing!

Lives of Poets, writers, soldiers interest me. And I would RATHER read poorly written biographies about them than reading a well written biography of, say Paris Hilton!!!

Haha I would still stay away from a terribly plodding book about one of my favorite people, though, it's probably hard to find such a thing, given my preference in people.

I don't think I would read bios much. But I did read Somaly Mam's, which was very touching and made me cry.

I'm not big on bios, but when I do read them (like anything I read) I want them to be well-written.

I haven't read much nonfiction of any kind for quite a while. But if I did, I'd still want it to be well-written.

I agree what biographies should inspire but the person must had lead an interesting life or why are we reading about them.

My answer was similar, which seems not to be the popular one.
