Book Blogger Hop/Follow me/Friday Find

Follow Friday, is hosted by ParaJunkee,  Book Blogger Hop, is hosted by Jennifer (Crazy-For-Books), and Follow Friday 40 and over is hosted by Java

Jennifer asks us, What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?

I have tried to Fantasy but somehow can't. I can read a bit of it but mix paranormal, I see red!

ParaJunkee asks as to "Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?"
(1) Geoffrey Chaucer (If you don't know about him, do google him)
(2) Mary Oliver (I know she is poet but so what?)
(3) Robert Pinsky (another poet!!)

Do feel free to explore my blog. You will definitely find something that interests you as I read wide range of genres, except maybe for a few. I also write poetry. You can read that on my other blog, rooted. Now go, explore both of my blogs! And follow them, if you like!! I follow blogs I like via Google Reader...

Enjoy!

Friday Find:
Falling More Slowly by Peter Helton

Falling More Slowly: Introducing Detective Inspector Liam McLuskyDI Liam McLusky, freshly transferred from Southampton and just recovered from having been injured in the line of duty, has no time to settle in before he is pushed in at the deep end in a new and unfamiliar city. Everyday objects, transformed into explosive devises by a man trying to revenge himself on the world for reasons unknown, are being left across Bristol, maiming or killing those who pick them up. Apart from the challenge of finding the perpetrator McLusky has to cope with new colleagues - especially his new right hand man DS James 'Jane' Austin - new superiors, new relationships...and the prospect of having his ex-partner move into the city to study there - and keep tabs on him.

I know paranormal took me a while to get into.

I'm not a big fan, and have just started to read paranormal/vampire romances, a genre I had found it difficult to read. Books like Insidious by Meg Cabot I was able to enjoy.

Oooh, Chaucer would be amazing but would you understand a word he said? I'm very picky about fantasy, beginning to feel my way with that genre.

Well, three authors I can think of right off the top of my head would be...Barbara Delinsky, Jodi Thomas, Kristin Hannah and Debbie Macomber...opps that is four, I could go on.. Currently I am reading a Summer fun book by a new author and I am really enjoying the book, it is David Baldacci' book "One Summer" I understand he writes Suspense/Thriller is probably why I've never read any of his books before, but this book is more of a Chick-lit book.

Hopping through. I bet Chaucer would be a hoot too meet. I wonder how difficult old English would be to understand. Very difficult, I'm guessing.

Hi, there! Here from the blog hop. :)

I love The Lord of the Rings, but as for other fantasy, I can't really get into it, either. And I'm with you on the paranormal. ;)
