Book Blogger Hop/Follow me

Follow Friday, is hosted by ParaJunkee,  Book Blogger Hop, is hosted by Jennifer (Crazy-For-Books), and

Parajunkee asks: What is your usual monthly book budget?

No monthly budget. I spend as and when I want to, for buying books....

Jennifer asks: "If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"

Preferably yes, if I can't all in series but ot necessarily so....

Do explore my blog. You will definitely find something that interests you. I read wide range of genres, except maybe for a few. I also write poetry. You can read that on my other blog, rooted. Feel free to explore both of my blogs!

Enjoy!

Hi there...stopping by via the hop. I have to start at the beginning when reading series and it's only on rare occasion that I don't. My full answer can be found here.

I'm hoping to read Ulysses someday but from what it sounds like James Joyce is a definite struggle.

I have to tell you I love the quote at the top of the page. :)

Found you on the hop! Here's my response:

Happy Friday!

Old follower here. I’m doing all three of the Friday blog runs. I don’t limit myself to budget with books. I just love to read and write so that line is always doable for me. And Yes, I love start a series at the 1st book.

I'm back from vacation and work deadlines are past so I have time to visit my fellow bloggers this afternoon (yeah me).

Have a wonderful weekend!

I can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
doesn't run chronologically.

That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.

On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.

Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

I don't have a budget either- some months it's nothing, some months it's most likely over a hundred dollars (most new releases in Australia are between $21-$35).
Happy hopping!

I try not to start in the middle of a series, but sometimes you just have to.
