Booking through series

btt button

If you read series, do you ever find a series “jumping the shark?” How do you feel about that?
And, do you keep reading anyway?

I am not much of a series reader. I prefer stand alone novels. I did read the Harry Potter series and also read the first two novels of the Millennium trilogy. Looking forward to read the third one too.

I have read all the Tintin albums in the proper order. And none was disappointing.  I simply stop reading any novel, which doesn't hold my interest, be it of a series or otherwise!

I am more like you. I like stand alone books better, but have read a few series. MY BTT

I do follow some series, but will drop them if they get old or don't hold my interest anymore.

I read both series and books alone, but they have to entertain me, if they get boring or drag, I don't finish them.

I read both series and stand alones, too...but love that series keep you connected to characters.

Here's my BTT.

I like a series that gives us engaging characters that change and grow over time. I don't like them to stay in the same old rut. Here's my answer: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2010/09/booking-through-thursday-series-shark.html
