Book Blogger Hop/Follow me/Friday Find

Every Friday, join the Follow Friday, hosted by ParaJunkee and Book Blogger Hop, hosted by
Jennifer (Crazy-For-Books), and follow/hop to some new blogs.

Jennifer asks this week:
“How many books do you have on your 'to be read shelf’?"

To be honest, I don't know. Last time I counted, it was 376. One can safely add 50 more. Having more than 400 books on my to be read shelves, ought to be nightmare of sorts. Enough to make me feel guilty when I go out to buy books. Does that stop me? No way! Someday I hope I am able to read everything on my tbr shelves, but I know I will only keep adding to it!

What about you? Do you get nightmares thinking of all those unread books?

From HarperCollins

War is a narrative about combat: the fear of dying, the trauma of killing and the love between platoon-mates who would rather perish than let each other down. Gripping, honest and intense, War explores the neurological, psychological and social elements of combat, as well as the incredible bonds that form between these small groups of men. This is not a book about Afghanistan or the “War on Terror”; it is a book about all men, in all wars. Junger set out to answer what he thought of as the “hand-grenade question”: why would a man throw himself on a hand grenade to save other men he has known for probably only a few months? The answer is elusive but profound, going to the heart of what it means not just to be a soldier, but to be human.

Everyone seems to be having giant tbr piles! Yes, I do feel nervous when I look down at the nine (yes, nine!) books I have waiting for me. They all seem to squealing: "read me! read me!". I hope I don't get nightmares though.

Stop by my blog if you're interested. I'd really appreciate it!

Have a great day!

I don't have nightmares about the books, but sometimes they will appear in dreams (like I'm dreaming about rearranging them or reading them - kind of sad, I know).

I think four hundred is a reasonable number. The way I look at it, I'm only going to like, maybe, one out of every four books I buy. That's just one hundred. And I can read a hundred books in, what, maybe two years. So that is not very many books.

Happy Friday!!!--Stopping by from the hop!--Already a follower!!! :)

my tbr number is a little high right now, too--but to be fair, I'm also including all the classics and such that I'd like to read "someday." The actual pile on my desk is much smaller ;)

By the way, great review!!!

Happy Friday. Come see how many books I have on my TBR pile. Despite it's size I don't have nightmares about it.

War sounds like an interesting book.

Wow, sometimes we read the Title of a book and make assumptions. This really sounds more like a book that looks at the souls of those men that make decisions to risk or lose their lives to save others. I enjoyed visiting from The hop and hope you get a chance to stop by and see me at http://www.wrighton-time.blogspot.com
I am following.

Hopping by. Isn't amazing, I really think my books multiply when I'm not looking. And now I don't only have physical books, but ebooks on my kindle as well. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog.
