TSS: Summers, Reading and Computer woes

The Sunday Salon.com

April is truly cruel. We are having very hot days, where the temperature hovers around 42 °C to 44 °C, that is 117-112 °F. Delhi had such temperatures in April only in 1958. What with hot winds and dust, it is hellish kind of existence. The schools have not closed for the summers and power outages are the norm.

I am staying in after I get back from school and only go out when it is absolutely necessary. Evenings are hot too. A perfect excuse to read and I am doing just that. This past week I read three books and and in the midst of a few more.

My brother took pity on me and has given me his spare computer until I get a new one. This one works perfectly well and I am happy with it. Although my older nephew had given me full access of his laptop, I was not very comfortable with it. I only used that to check my emails. Problem is, I need an external mouse all the time!
Hopefully my computer-less days are gone as of now.

That is hot. Very hot. Someday I want to visit India, but the heat does worry me. Unfortunateley, I can only travel during the summer months.

There is me still in my winter coat and you are suffering with the heat. It doesn't make sense. Hope it cools soon.

Oh, my, the heat is so difficult to escape. I remember that a few summers ago, our temperatures were around 114-115 for a couple of weeks at a stretch. Normally, we don't get much over 110, and it's more often in the early 100s.

Our hot days can start as early as April (here in California's Central Valley), but definitely we'll see heat in May.

Hope you get through it all okay!

Whew I can't even imagine it being that hot here (though it has gotten close, never this early in the year). We've had an unseasonably warm April this year too. It's been in the 80s and 90s, which it shouldn't be reaching until the end of May. Come end of July/beginning of August we'll have temperatures in the 100s, though hopefully not very consistently! Stay cool! Enjoy your books :)

I am not great with laptops either. I live in the Deep South,US, and we have had some higher than average highs this month but not like that. Yikes. Do you have central AC? When does your Summer Break began from school? Good news about the reading and the other computer. :)

Wow, that is some kind of hot. The weather is all over the place around here these days.

I hope you get your new computer soon.

Wow! I cannot imagine such hot temps.

We have had unusually cool weather here in Texas. Generally, in April, the temp starts to climb into the eighties now and then, but not this spring.

Wow, I don't think I could move in that heat. I hope you manage to stay somewhat comfortable and that you resolve your computer problems soon.

Oh, the heat sounds miserable, especially for April. I hope it cools off a bit for you there soon.
