Monday: Musing/Mailbox/Whereabouts

Musing Mondays (BIG)
Does your house have a communal bookshelf? If not, is your bookshelf centrally located so everyone has access to it?

My bookshelves are centrally located. Anyone can access those and pick out any book they want. My nephews and nieces do it all the time. I don't mind that at all. Today my younger brother too picked up my copy of The Art of War by Sun Tzu, which he needs for a project. I was mighty glad to give it to him.

Monday Mailbox is hosted by Marcia, In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren and New Crayons is hosted by Color Online. Check all three, which are related to books you receive in the past week.

I had a mailbox slump. I did not receive a single book this past week.

I finished:

Selected Poems of Carl Sandburg

I still am in the midst of reading:

Theft of Time by Terry Pratchett
Cult Insanity by Irene Spencer

I plan to read:

whatever takes my fancy

I posted review of:

Selected Poems of Carl Sandburg
Hoodoo Sea by Rolf Hitzer
Receive Me Falling by Erica Robuck

No communal book area but we all have books everywhere in the house and no one feels like they can't snag one from someone else! But we always ask first!!

A slump could be a good thing.... dare I say it? I had quite a few self induced slumps. It helped relieve pressure. Happy Monday.

It's nice you have people in your family who share your reading with you. Here, it's just me who likes to read.

I need a mailbox slump too. This week was quiet for me, but still . . .

I think I could use a slump too as my TBR books are stacked perilously high!

I had a mailbox slump last week and received one book this week. That's ok, because I have so many books on my TBR shelf to read : )

That's nice your nephew could find a book to read on your shelf. I agree with the others about your mailbox slump. That's not a bad thing once in awhile.

I only got one book this week (The Burton Review) but I don't mind either.
Off to check on your Ericka Roebuck review!

Doesn't it feel good to share books with your family and friends? Mailbox slumps are a good time to catch up. I'm always behind here lately. Have a good week!

I may have to answer the Musing Monday questions today. It's a good one.

I love being able to just read whatever grabs my interest.

Hi!
I am the only reader here so I don't have a problem. But if anyone asks they can borrow them. My shelf is very communal. Have a great day!

I am starting to think I should just hand books out to strangers on the street and clear some of these excess books out of here...

Enjoy your new books! I don't talk about books other than with Serena and my blog buddies. Sometimes my sister will ask me for some recommendations, but she has a baby and little time to read.
