Followings words are taken from The Lost Book of Salem by Katherine Howe

1) Simulacrum (page 52): The interior assembled around her out of the gloom, a perfect simulacrum of a first-period, pre-1700 house.....

  1. An image or representation.
  2. An unreal or vague semblance.
2) Obfuscations (page 113): ...(Liz) had a way of clearing aside her obfuscations to articulate what Connie herself was not able to say.

1. Mental confusion.

Simulacrum looks familiar to me, but I couldn't define it even when I saw how it was used. I have obfuscations most days! Thanks for participating!

Those are two big words. I sometimes wonder who makes them up, when their definitions seem so simple. ;-)

Was this book call The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane in the US? I'm familiar with the author and the subject of the book. Actually I am familiar with your new words too, but probably because it's the same book?
